SCÓR County final

Well done to all our performers in the Scór County Semi Final at the weekend. Hard luck to our ballad group, who just missed the final. Well done to Stephanie and our drama group who will be competing in the final in 2 weeks time. We have high hopes for them!

Walkabilty audit

Edwina from Green schools called to us again today. We walked to the village to check the signs, the road, the footpaths and the crossings. We will create a full report and send it off to Cork County Council in the coming weeks.

Seasonal Art

To coincide with our Signs of spring walk we painted some adorable sheep for the WOW work outside our door. We also used chalk to make attractive looking shamrocks!

Wonder Wall

Better late than never on the Wonder Wall this week. Look at some of the lovely work we have completed.

Mobile Library

We are delighted the mobile library finally visited us today. The younger kids heard a story and everyone was able to borrow a book. They will be back in 4 weeks to change the books so please keep them safe!

Scór

World Book Day 2023

We celebrated World Book Day today with some of our favourite authors. We are also reading with Read and Raise, kindly organised by the PA. Please don’t forget to register your child. Read and Raise

Thanks to our PA for organising the Read and Raise fundraiser. It officially starts today. Please register your child if you haven’t already done so. Bird watching

Look at the fantastic visitors we are having in 2nd class this week. We are learning all the names of the birds we have in Ireland. So far we have seen a blue tit, a robin, a common chaffinch and a goldfinch too.

Primary games

We have four fantastic 6th class members who have been selected this year to represent Conna NS at the Cork Primary Games. We wish them the best of luck in their trials in the coming weeks.
