Welcome

It was lovely to welcome parents into school today to have a look at the school and the children’s work. Thanks to everyone who made it in. It means a lot to the children to be able to share such a big part of their lives with you.

Smiley eileey

We had Smileyeileey in school with us today. She taught us all about the importance of good oral hygiene. We also looked at the sugar content of some popular food and drink. Shocking to say the least. Thanks to our PA fornorganising and paying for this visit. It was very worthwhile.

Lord Mayor visit

Thanks to Frank O’ Flynn for visiting us today. He spoke to us about his role as Lord Mayor, farm and water safety and plenty of GAA talk. He also talked about the importance of our local libraries and all their good work.

Cork City Sports

Well done to all our athletes today at MTU. A very busy and enjoyable day. Thanks to everyone for making the journey today. We are very proud to be part of Europe’s biggest athletic event.

Vyshyvanka Day

Today we are celebrating World Vyshyvanka Day in school. Vyshyvanka Day is an international holiday that aims to preserve the Ukrainian folk traditions of creating and wearing ethnic embroidered clothes called vyshyvankas. It is celebrated on the third Thursday of May.
