A very special thank you to Paddy for taking us down to the church in the rain today for our First Penance rehearsal. When we chanced our arm and asked for a spin he didn’t hesitate to oblige us. Best of luck to the 20 2nd class pupils making their First Penance tonight at 7pm.

Well done to all our performers in the Scór County Semi Final at the weekend. Hard luck to our ballad group, who just missed the final. Well done to Stephanie and our drama group who will be competing in the final in 2 weeks time. We have high hopes for them!
Edwina from Green schools called to us again today. We walked to the village to check the signs, the road, the footpaths and the crossings. We will create a full report and send it off to Cork County Council in the coming weeks.

We are delighted the mobile library finally visited us today. The younger kids heard a story and everyone was able to borrow a book. They will be back in 4 weeks to change the books so please keep them safe!
We celebrated World Book Day today with some of our favourite authors. We are also reading with Read and Raise, kindly organised by the PA. Please don’t forget to register your child. Look at the fantastic visitors we are having in 2nd class this week. We are learning all the names of the birds we have in Ireland. So far we have seen a blue tit, a robin, a common chaffinch and a goldfinch too.
